This paper uses Adizes’s PAEI Management Style Questionnaire as its core instrument and extends it with Soft Logic mathematics to capture the tensions and competing demands between Producer, Administrator, Entrepreneur, and Integrator roles. In an empirical study of 40 participants, the authors demonstrate that their Soft Logic extension provides a more nuanced depiction of real management style profiles than the original scoring approach.
