The dynamics of the life cycle theory and organizational culture: a systematic literature review

SN Business & Economics

This systematic review of 60 years of OLC–culture research cites Adizes (1990) Corporate Lifecycles as a foundational source, showing how his model has shaped studies linking lifecycle stage to culture formation, change, and decline. The paper finds that Adizes-referenced studies concentrate disproportionately on the growth and maturity stages and calls for research on culture dynamics during aristocracy and bureaucracy.
